Did you know this was the coldest and snowiest winter since 1918. Now I wasn’t around then, but I remember when I was a little girl, my grandmother use to tell me about taking sleigh rides from the family farm in Topsfield down Rte. 97 into Beverly to visit her relatives. I couldn’t imagine it back then but now I can.

Unfortunately, these extreme weather conditions caused a low supply and high demand situation and world events, such as the strike in Venezuela by oil workers and impending war, caused energy prices to skyrocket in February and March. In terms of a normal winter we are about 250 degree days above the 30-year average and 1000 degree days above last year. The significantly higher energy prices were not good for any of us. Thank goodness it was a temporary situation and prices are already coming down now that the winter weather is breaking. A budget plan may be the answer next season, so that you can spread out the cost of heating your home.

 

Oil Tank Program - Do you ever worry about your oil tank leaking? Consider our Tank Program. For $23.95 per year we install a ball of zinc through you’re your fill pipe that over time is eaten up by corrosives that would normally eat the steel of your oil tank. A warranty of up to $1000.00 tank replacement is included. Ask Paul to install it when he cleans your furnace or call the office. We have already replaced seven tanks under the program.
